It is amazing how time appears to speed up the older we become.  And now with so much technology designed to organize and optimize our productivity, time seems to be passing even more quickly.

At risk of sounding cliche, I want to compel us all to slow down as this work-week begins.  Afford yourself the grace of gently rising to meet the day.

Sip yourf coffee, don’t gulp.

Savor, don’t speed.

Slow down. Gather yourself.

Give yourself time for gratitude, before rushing ahead.

It is true that time waits for no one, but that does not mean we surrender to the pressures that dissolve the distinction of each moment into a dizzying blur of drudgery.

Slow down.

Gently receive the day as a gift.  You will accomplish what you need to, and you may even find that you enjoy it.

Slow down.

Be present – for yourself so you can show .  You owe yourself this grace, or else God would not have given it to you!  Resist the anxiety that would bully you through the day…

2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved.a

Psalm 127:2

Slow down.

Good Morning, I love you all!
