Scripture: 1 Kings 17:15-16

15 And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.

Reflection:

When we offer to God what we have – even when it seems insufficient or feels inadequate – we open ourselves to encounter the abundance of God’s grace.

Problems become possibilities when we prepare properly!

The widow of Zarephath honored Elijah’s request.  She prepared the handful of flour and the little oil and presented it to the prophet! Her obedience turned a famine into a feast that fed her and her entire household for many days!

Are you struggling with lack in some area of your life? Is there a word from the Lord?

Obey that word!  And then watch God turn obstacles into opportunities, problems into possibilities, and obedience into abundance – a blessing to everyone around me!

Prayer:

When I am confronted with struggle, threatened by lack, and haunted by my own inadequacies, LORD, help me to listen and to obey your word. As you bless me, make me a blessing to others.

In Jesus’ Name

Amen

Good Morning, I love you all!
